Earth Day 2010 - generation green

As young people, we're passionate about more than just equal rights for the LGBTQ community. After all, having equal rights will only get you so far if you ignore the rights of our planet. Beyond that many, environmental issues affect entire communities of people - pollution, access to clean water, green jobs.
In honor of Earth Day 2010 and the urgent needs of our planet everyday, NYAC engages year round in our green initiative, "generation green," a set of policies and pledges to hold for ourselves and for all of our members. Do your part - sign NYAC's green pledge at the link here.

In the Community: Promote your events and campaigns with a national network

In every E-message, NYAC spotlights events and campaign issues to volley out to our wide and diverse network of LGBTQ youth service providers, progressive organizations, queer and allied young people, and people who care about LGBTQ youth issues. In that past, we have posted about LGBTQ youth organizations' big events or their stories that made headlines. We would like to include projects and campaigns in our national community on issues that LGBTQ youth are working on or care about. That's where you come in.
Please email nyac@nyacyouth.org with the subject line "E-message items," with the information about your piece and a NYAC team member will contact you within the week.
