Tell Congress to Help Stop Violence Against Women

Tell Congress to Help Stop Violence Against Women

It is the world's most pervasive human rights violation. One of every three women in the world faces violence, coercion, or abuse as part of her everyday life — and more than 70% of women will experience violence in their lifetime.

From physical and sexual abuse, to sex trafficking, to honor killings, women across the world are subject to coercion and violence in their day-to-day lives. As an influential leader in the international community, it’s time for the United States to take a stand against this violence.

Tell your representatives in Washington that ending violence against women needs to be a real priority >

By prioritizing ending violence against women, the U.S. could send a powerful message to hundreds of millions of women worldwide that our respect for their safety and the value of their lives is something worth standing up for.

To effectively combat this violence, the international community must establish a truly global network of women's organizations and relief groups working together to prevent and track rape and sexual violence in conflict zones and aid in recovery for survivors of sexual and physical abuse. But an important first step is to make protecting and valuing women across the globe a cornerstone of U.S. policy.

Take action and add your voice to the growing chorus condemning violence against women by telling Congress it's time to act >

Thanks for all that you do,
