Essentials of Representing Nonprofits and Foundations Coming to DC!

Alliance for Justice Announces 2-Day Seminar for
Accountants and Lawyers of Nonprofit Organizations!

On January 27th and 28th Alliance for Justice will be co-hosting the Essentials of Representing Nonprofits and Foundations with the D.C. Bar Continuing Legal Education Program.
This two-day course, designed for attorneys and accountants who represent nonprofit organizations or foundations, will feature trainers who are experts in tax-exempt law and will explain the elements of representing nonprofit organizations that lobby for legislation, support or oppose ballot measures, or become involved in candidate elections as well as the rules applicable to foundation support of advocacy. The faculty will answer questions such as:
  • How much lobbying can charities do? 
  • How can foundations support public policy? 
  • What are the rules governing election-year activities by non-profits?
  • What are the new rules under the recently amended federal Lobbying Disclosure Act and the travel and gift rules?
  • What restrictions apply to federal grantees or nonprofits that receive federal funds? 
  • And much more!
